Martín Demichelis is set to replace Marcelo Gallardo as the new coach at River Plate. Demichelis could soon be making the move over from Germany to Argentina. According to César Luis Merlo, everything is very advanced between the club and Demichelis for him to replace Marcelo Gallardo. There is an agreement in place for most aspects, with the duration of the contract remaining to be determined. Demichelis presently coaches Bayern Munich II in Germany.
